The Church of God in Jamaica has developed of tradition of hosting summer camps for the first two full weeks in August annually. The first week of camp targets teenagers while the second week caters to young adults. Each year, camp is held in a different parish usually at a high school. Camp is the premier event for youths in the church and they journey for different parts of Jamaica to engage in the time of their lives.
The planning team recognizes the different stages that each group is at and seeks to plan around these needs and interest. The teenagers can expect much physical activities not limited to exercise; they can expect intellectual and social stimulation and generally an atmosphere for them to learn about God and worship Him in unique ways. Young adults can expect much discussions and simulation of life experiences; much interpersonal relationship building and finally an atmosphere that promotes regular worship of God.
